Sam Millar, "Ireland's most controversial author," had this to say about our forthcoming novel, Hotel Noir: "A noirish combination of F. Scott Fitzgerald and early P. D. James on steroids, what stands out the most in this literary endeavor is the evocative writing, the author’s ability to capture a moment in time and take us there, to capture a character entirely in a few phrases, to infuse the reader with a sense that she is right there, participating in a story as it happens, as told by a narrator who knows how to weave a web and pull you in without your realizing that you are caught. A bizarre and at times challenging read, Hotel Noir is nonetheless an intriguing novel filled with wonderfully zany characters Agatha Christie would have killed for."

It has been a long time since author Germaine Shames brought out a new novel. Is there one in the works?
We, too, are impatient for a next novel! Germaine Shames, however, is taking a hiatus from novel writing to forge a new career in theatre and musical theatre. Check out her growing body of work on the New Play Exchange and watch for her plays and musicals at a theatre near you.
I’m dying to read Germaine Shames’ first novel, Between Two Deserts, but it seems to have gone out of print. Call me a dinosaur, but I prefer to read the old-fashioned way. What to do?
Great news: Between Two Deserts will return to print on April 15, 2015. The new edition will soon go to press. You’re welcome to pre-order using our contact form. Thanks for reaching out!

Who is Casper Silk?
Keep a secret?
Casper Silk is the pseudonym of an award-winning author whose works defy easy categorization, combining elements of literary and genre fiction, and straying from the straight-and-narrow of chronology into a kaleidoscopic striptease of the human soul.
Readers throughout the ages have made a sport of unmasking pseudonymous authors, and the rumor mill is already churning out identities for the enigmatic Silk.
So, who is Casper Silk? We’re not at liberty to say—yet. But here’s a hint: there is a long tradition of female authors adopting male pen names. And another: the author in question has a body of work critics have variously called “lyrical,” “gripping,” and “heroic.”
By any name Silk delivers what readers lust after: a great read.
